Are you a battery level watcher? Does it stress you out to be away from a power source? Do you want more battery life for your iPhone?
Have you recently updated to the new iOS 9 or purchased the newest iPhone? Have you noticed battery drain?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, this article is for you. We’re going to tell you about the top five battery saving hacks of all time.
We’re going to save you some battery draining stress and show you how you can charge your iPhone just once a day without losing your battery power.
It’s important to explore your biggest battery drainers, so, let’s look at some instructions for learning just what’s draining your battery power:
Now that you’re armed with this information, let’s look at the top five battery saving hacks of all time:
Hack #1: Turn Off Background App Refresh
One of the easiest ways to save your iPhone battery is to make sure your background app refresh is turned off.
Go to Settings> General. Scroll down and select Background App Refresh.
Now, you can decide whether you want to disable Background App Refresh altogether, or if you want to disable it for individual apps.
Whichever way you choose, you’ll stop battery drain because your phone won’t constantly refresh apps in the background. This also helps save your data from disappearing too quickly which is helpful if you don’t have unlimited data.
Hack #2: Say Goodbye to Auto Brightness
We recommend turning off Auto Brightness. Go to Settings> Display & Brightness. This is where you’ll either turn it off or adjust the settings.
It’s important to note that the brighter your phone screen, the more battery you are using. The best bet is to disable auto brightness and set it manually.
Hack #3: Turn Off Location Services
You don’t really want apps knowing where you are at all times, do you?
When you allow apps to use your phone’s GPS system, they can track your location which in turns eats up your battery life. Apps like Facebook, Maps, SnapChat, Instagram and many others can run in the background, tracking your every move.
Go to Settings> Privacy> Location Services, and you can view the apps that are currently tracking your location.
Again, you have the option to turn all Location Services off or turn it off just for certain apps. For example, if you are traveling and using maps, you’ll want to make sure Location Services are on. At other times, turn maps off to save battery time.
Hack #4: Just Say No to Push Notifications
An enormous battery eater, push notifications are a great place to turn to save your battery life.
Go to settings> Notifications, and scroll down. Click on each app to either allow or disallow push notifications. Only keep the ones you absolutely need like Weather.
This battery saver can also restore a bit of peace of mind as you’re not always being hit with notifications you feel like you need to view.
Hack #5: Use Low Power Mode
When the worst situation arises, and you are running out of battery with no electrical outlet in site, turn your phone to low power mode.
Go to Settings> Low Power Mode. Slide the button so that it’s on. It will temporarily reduce your battery consumption until you are able to fully charge your phone.
When this is on, mail fetch, background app refresh, automatic downloads and some visuals are reduced or completely turned off.
This can be a real power saver when you are far from electricity.
The Take Away
As a final note, we recommend turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when you don’t need them if you’re running low on battery power. This is easy to accomplish. Just slide up from the bottom of your phone and disable these options.
By disabling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, your phone will stop searching for networks and Bluetooth enabled devices, thus saving your power.
Lastly, try to fully drain and fully charge your phone at least once a month. Don’t expose the phone and battery to extreme temperatures – cold or hot.
